Our referents

Víctor Alberto Giorgi Gómez

Graduate in Psychology with extensive experience in childhood and adolescent policies.

He was born and lives in Montevideo, Uruguay where he works as Academic Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Children’s Rights and Public Policies. (UDELAR).

Until April 2023, he was General Director of the Inter-American Institute for Children and Adolescents (IIN-OAS)

He presided over the Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU) between 2005 and 2009.

Former dean of the Faculty of Psychology at UDELAR

Author of a significant number of books and articles on topics of Social and Community Psychology, Health, Childhood Policies and Children’s Rights.

He approaches the “Ciudad de los niños” attracted by the ways in which Francesco Tonucci gives voice to boys and girls, questions our adult centrism and contributes to the construction of the necessary utopia of a different, friendly, enjoyable school… the “ convention school.
