Francesca Tonucci

Francesca Tonucci, born in 1968, graduated in Psychology in 1993 at “La Sapienza” in Rome, specialized in 2004 as a psychotherapist at the Italian Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Childhood, Adolescence and Couples (S.I.P.S.I.A.), of which she became a member in 2005 and in which he held institutional functions on the steering committee for many years.

He has always worked as a psychotherapist for children, adolescents, couples and adults.

In 2011, after working as a psychotherapist for ten years in a center for eating disorders, she founded in Rome with other colleagues, the DAI, Alimentary Disorders in Institution, of which she is still a member. This association deals with treating eating disorders with an integrated psychoanalytic approach. This Association is part of a network of national Associations: FIDA (Italian Federation of Eating Disorders).

Since 2016 he has been a member of the Executive Committee of AGIPPsA (Association of Italian Groups of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Adolescence) as a representative of the SIPsIA company, of which he is a member, and since 2019 he has been responsible for scientific activity for AGIPPsA; in 2022, she became coordinator of the Manifesto Commission of the AGIPPsA, which draws up the Psychoanalytic Manifesto of Adolescence, a document which synthetically describes the fundamental conditions to guarantee the adolescent a sufficiently healthy growth, to raise awareness among institutions and politicians to invest resources and energies for the healthy development of the adolescent, and therefore of a healthy community, strongly proposing an investment in prevention as well as treatment.
